CHARLOTTE — The new dynamic kickoff rules are permanent now, and the Panthers added a dynamic runner to help with them.

With the 114th pick, the Panthers selected Georgia running back Trevor Etienne.

Etienne, who started his college career at Florida, averaged 5.0 yards per carry for the Bulldogs last year, rushing 122 times for 609 yards with nine touchdowns.

He has the kind of speed necessary in the return game, as he ran a 4.42 40 at the combine this year, along with a 35-inch vertical.

The 5-foot-9, 198-pound running back is the younger brother of Jaguars first-round pick and former Clemson star Travis Etienne.
