The only Bears player listed as questionable on the injury report is right guard Nate Davis, who was limited Friday for the third straight day.
“Injured his groin, tweaked it a little bit on Wednesday,” Eberflus said. “But he was working back in there today. We’ll see where that is game time.”
If Davis is unable to play, veteran Matt Pryor is one possible replacement. The 6-7, 332-pounder signed with the Bears in March after spending his first six NFL seasons with the Eagles (2018-20), Colts (2021-22) and 49ers (2023), appearing in 75 games with 24 starts.
“He’s a large human being, that’s for sure,” Eberflus said. “He eats up some space in there. But he’s really improved. He’s one of our most improved linemen. I know he’s been playing and all that, but we really see improvement in him and what he’s brought to the table in terms of his work ethic, his energy and what he brings there, too, as a teammate. Super excited for him if he’s working in there with Nate or whatever that might be. We’ll see in terms of getting closer to the game, but he’s really had a good work week.”
For the Colts, defensive end Laiatu Latu (hip) and receiver Michael Pittman (back/calf) are both listed as questionable. Star defensive tackle DeForest Buckner will not play after being placed on injured reserve Wednesday with an ankle injury.
