AUSTIN (KXAN) – As Central Texas and the Hill Country continue to recover and deal with the devastating floods from over the weekend, the state is working to come together to heal.

The Houston Texans announced they are committing $500,000 to provide resources and support to those effected by the flooding.

Sunday, the Dallas Cowboys announced they are donating the same amount to assist in helping rescue, relief and recovery efforts.

The NFL Foundation, too, is committing $500,000 to make the total $1.5 million to those impacted by the flooding.

The flooding forced Austin FC to postpone their match Saturday night against LAFC due to concerns over the safety of traveling in Central Texas.
