COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football’s 2024 national title run has a chance to add one final piece of hardware before officially closing that chapter.
The Buckeyes have been nominated for Best Team at the 2025 ESPYs alongside UConn women’s basketball, the United States women’s soccer team, North Carolina women’s lacrosse, the Philadelphia Eagles, New York Liberty, Los Angeles Dodgers, Florida Panthers and Oklahoma City Thunder.
Voting is now open, and the awards show will air on ESPN on July 16.
OSU finished the season with a 14-2 record (7-2 Big Ten). Its College Football Playoff run included a home win over Tennessee, a Rose Bowl win over Oregon, a Cotton Bowl win over Texas and beating Notre Dame in the title game in Atlanta.
Doing so made them the first national champions of the 12-team College Football era.
