The Los Angeles Rams‘ offensive line will be among the team’s most important units heading into the 2025 NFL season. They’ll be tasked with keeping 37-year-old quarterback Matthew Stafford upright as the Rams look to make another deep playoff run this season.

However, Pro Football Focus’ Zoltán Buday doesn’t think the Rams’ line is among the best in the league. He ranked all 32 offensive lines ahead of the 2025 season and placed the Rams squarely in the middle of the pack at No. 15.

“The Rams re-signed Alaric Jackson in free agency after he earned a career-high 78.4 PFF overall grade in 2024, which ranked 18th among all offensive tackles.

“His efforts and elite run blocking from Kevin Dotson and Rob Havenstein should make this unit good enough in 2025 to allow the Rams’ offense to reach its potential.”

The Rams’ line didn’t undergo too many changes this offseason, except for swapping out center Beaux Limmer for Coleman Shelton. However, Jackson’s recent blood clot issues complicate things. If he isn’t ready for the season, veteran D.J. Humphries might be called upon to step in.

Overall, the Rams don’t have a bad offensive line but they don’t have a great one, either. If they can avoid injuries, it’ll be enough to keep the offense afloat in a pivotal year. Jackson and Havenstein are the most integral players and both will be coming off ailments (Jackson’s blood clots and Havenstein’s offseason shoulder clean-up).

How these five players fare in 2025 could play a huge role in this season’s outcome.
