The Seattle Seahawks are starting their rookie minicamp, which means the team – and the 12th Man – will get their first opportunity to see the newest flock of Seahawks in action. Easily one of the most intriguing draft picks Seattle had this year was quarterback Jalen Milroe, who was selected in the third round, which makes him the highest quarterback drafted by the Seahawks since Russell Wilson in 2012.
Now, for the first time ever, the world sees the first practice reps taken by Milroe in a Seahawks uniform. This footage comes via The Athletic’s Michael-Shawn Dugar.
Head coach Mike Macdonald already stated Milroe is likely to see action in 2025. Yes, Sam Darnold – Seattle’s top free agent acquisition this spring – will receive the overwhelming majority of starting snaps this season. But that does not mean Milroe won’t take the field at times. Especially considering offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak had first had experience with a versatile, athletic backup quarterback in Taysom Hill last year with the New Orleans Saints.

Quarterbacks are the talk of the town. They run this league and dominate conversation. Now the Seahawks have one that will surely be one of the biggest storylines to follow, not just for this season, but for years to come.
