The Tennessee Titans got their guy in the 2025 NFL Draft. They selected Miami’s Cam Ward with the first overall pick, which was the obvious choice after a second consecutive season that ended in disaster for quarterback Will Levis. Ward is now the most highly anticipated young signal-caller in Tennessee since Vince Young.

It was unknown if Ward could have the jersey number he wanted in the NFL, though, because the Titans franchise retired the number in honor of legendary quarterback Warren Moon. At Ward’s introductory press conference, however, Moon surprised him with a jersey featuring the No. 1 and Ward’s last name on the back, which was his way of giving him his blessing.

Ward was not the only player that the Titans drafted who got his uniform number this week, however. While these may change depending on how the final 53-man roster shapes up, eight other Titans rookies learned their new numbers this week as well.

Fourth-round wide receivers Elic Ayomanor and Chimere Dike will wear No. 5 and No. 17, respectively, and tight end Gunnar Helm will don No. 84. Defensive backs Kevin Winston Jr. and Marcus Harris will be sporting No. 23 and No. 26 for Tennessee.

Running back Kalel Mullings is wearing No. 28 for the Titans, edge rusher Oluwafemi Oladejo was given No. 53 and interior offensive lineman Jackson Slater will have No. 64 on his back to start with.

The Titans put together an incredible draft class on paper, and they did an excellent job nabbing undrafted free agents as well. However, they are hoping to keep all eight of these players, in particular, on the roster, preferably for a long time. Even if they end up changing their number.
