Brophy Prep (Arizona) wide receiver Devin Fitzgerald, a three-star college football prospect, will play his college football at Notre Dame. The son of former NFL legend Larry Fitzgerald chose the Fighting Irish over Clemson, Stanford and UCLA.

Fitzgerald, a 2024 High School Football America Academic All-American, bolsters ND’s Class of 2026 recruiting class. So far, the Irish have received 24 verbal commitments, according to 247Sports, which has ND ranked as No. 12 in its overall recruiting rankings.

During his junior season, the 6-2, 205-pounder had 52 receptions for 720 yards with nine touchdowns to led Brophy Prep to a No. 216 ranking in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football.

Monday, Brophy Prep was named a part of HSFA’s Preseason Elite 1100. The Broncos are expected to be part of the HSFA 300 national rankings when our preseason rankings are announced on Friday.

In addition to Fitzgerald, the school also features two other sons for former NFL players — two-sport star Daylen Sharper, who has given his verbal to Stanford, and Donovan McNabb, Jr., a junior-to-be, is considered a 3-star receiving prospect. Sharper, who is also a receiver, is considered a 3-star football prospect and a 4-star basketball prospect.

Notre Dame has landed a commitment from 2026 four-star WR Devin Fitzgerald out of Brophy Prep in Phoenix, Arizona.

The Irish beat out Clemson, Stanford, UCLA, and others for Fitzgerald.

Larry Fitzgerald was an 11-time Pro Bowler and one of the NFL’s all-time great wide receivers. He starred collegiately at Pittsburgh before a 17-year career with the Arizona Cardinals, where he amassed 1,432 receptions, 17,492 yards, and 121 touchdowns.
