There may be a new addition to the Las Vegas Raiders ownership group.
Good friends Mark Wahlberg and Tom Brady appeared on an episode of Card Shopping, where the two teased Wahlberg purchasing a piece of the Raiders pie.

“It’s crazy because, I know people are going to give me a lot of s—t for this,” Wahlberg said.
“But I live in Vegas. Tom’s got a piece of the Raiders. A lot of my friends got a piece of the Raiders. I went to six home games last year.
“I didn’t make it to any New England games because I live far away. My golf cart just got painted black. I didn’t even know it.”
“You did it on purpose,” Brady said. “I love it.”
“We put the Municipal logos instead of the Raiders logo,” Wahlberg continued. “But listen, could easily find me being, listen, I’m on the home team, so.”
Wahlberg’s home team? It’s now colored silver and black.
He is famously a Boston sports fan, most notably a New England Patriots and Red Sox fan, which is where Wahlberg and Brady’s relationship first began.
Brady was winning six Super Bowls with the Patriots, while Wahlberg was along for the ride, enjoying every single one.
Now? Brady is a minority owner for the Raiders, and Wahlberg is a Las Vegas resident, which could eventually lead him into getting in on the action with the franchise that is valued at $6.7billion.
Brady purchased a minority stake in 2023 and has since made it clear that he doesn’t come anywhere close to being the man in charge, pointing to majority owner, Mark Davis.

“Well, I’m just a limited partner, so Mark’s the boss,” Brady told Raiders.com.
“And then Pete does his job and Spy does his job and I think we trust them to make the right decisions. I’m there as a great sounding board for anything they want to do.”
Davis was reciprocal in his love towards his new partner.
“We’re just really proud to have him as part of this organization,” Davis said. “He’s a competitor. He’s a bright young man. There’s just so many pluses for both sides. It’s great.”
Brady has said nothing but great things when it comes to Davis, and has embraced and enjoyed his new role with the iconic franchise.
“I’ve loved it,” Brady said. “And, again, just trying to contribute in the ways that I can to help the team be the best they can be, on and off the field. We’ve got a great group of people.

“I love Mark. He’s done an incredible job getting the team to Vegas, getting the stadium built.”
Part of the great group of people that Brady mentioned is new head coach Pete Carroll and new general manager John Spytek.
There was speculation on just how much involvement Brady had in hiring the two new voices, but it was never clear.
What is clear however, is how much Brady is happy about having Carroll and Spytek on board.
“They’ve worked together very well, and there’s a lot of decisions that are made,” Brady said.
“Winning games in September starts with what happens in February, March and April, when no one’s really watching. They’ve been hard at work.

“And our goal is to, you know, win a lot of football games. You’ve got to work hard at it, and it’s all earned and we’ve got a tough division.
“There’s a lot of good opponents we face. But it’s going to be up to the guys and their daily commitment to doing the right things.”
It is a new era for the once proud Silver and Black, one that could very well end up including an A-list Hollywood actor.
