Congratulations are pouring in for veteran NFL announcer Joe Buck on Monday.
Buck, 56, is getting ready for the 2025 NFL regular season. Buck and his broadcasting partner, Troy Aikman, will be once again calling ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” games. ESPN will also be getting a playoff game, with a Super Bowl a couple of years away.

The longtime NFL announcer previously worked at Fox Sports, where he called both football and baseball. Buck, whose dad is the iconic play-by-play man Jack Buck, is one of the most iconic voices in all of sports.
Buck will be getting some experience in a different field this summer, though. It’s a cool honor.

Buck will be serving as a guest host of ABC’s “Good Morning America” later this summer. He’s one of two notable ESPN employees to land the gig, as Malika Andrews, known for her NBA hosting duties, is also in that group.
Front Office Sports first reported the news:
An ESPN spokesperson confirmed to Front Office Sports that Malika Andrews will be a guest cohost on the morning talk show this Saturday and Sunday, and on the GMA3 digital program next Monday. Joe Buck will also fill in on GMA from July 23–25.
It’s a cool honor for Buck, who has been showing off his personality more and more on social media and podcast interviews.

NFL fans are congratulating Buck, too.
“Big moves for Malika and Joe! Love seeing sports voices cross over to GMA—gives the show fresh energy,” one fan wrote.
“Congrats, Joe!” one fan added.

There are major sports ties to “Good Morning America” already, as Michael Strahan and Robin Roberts both came from major sports backgrounds.
Strahan is a full-time host for the program, as is Roberts, though it’s doubtful that Buck will become a full-time host. He’s obviously more needed for his NFL duties.
Buck and his broadcasting partner, Troy Aikman, are two of the highest paid broadcasters in all of ESPN.

Week 1 of the 2025 NFL regular season will be here before you know it, but before that happens, Buck will be doing some summer work for “Good Morning America.”
It’ll be fun to watch.
