The Jacksonville Jaguars’ Travon Walker earned votes from NFL execs, coaches, and scouts in their 2025 top 10 defensive end rankings.
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler spoke with NFL front office members, coaches, and scouts from around the league to compile his list of the top 10 defensive ends heading into the 2025 season.

Walker–nor Josh Hines-Allen–were among the top 10. Neither were in the ‘Honorable Mention’ category either, but both Jaguars‘ pass rushers did earn some votes for the top 10.
Walker has recorded double-digit sacks in each of the last two seasons and can become the first player in Jaguars’ history to accomplish that feat in three straight seasons if he can do it again in 2025.
Compared league-wide to his position group last season, Walker’s 56 pressures were tied for the 19th-most out of 122 eligible pass rushers. He was also quite effective as a run defender, totaling the 10th most run stops of any edge defender, according to PFF.
Sacks and pressures are a necessity and will garner the attention, but Walker is focused on being a well-rounded edge defender because if defenses aren’t able to consistently stop the run, then they won’t earn the opportunity to rush the passer.

“Everybody wants to get double-digit sacks,” Walker said, via Jaguars.com. “For me, I just want to be a total and complete football player. I want to be able to stop the run because we aren’t able to rush the passer without stopping the run. Once we do that it allows us to get after the quarterback. I just want to come out here and be the best overall player I can be every day.”
Like Josh Hines-Allen, Walker is back to his more natural playing weight this offseason after being asked to bulk up last year.
