Former Alabama and current Minnesota Vikings linebacker Dallas Turner was a victim of the latest banking scam in February, according to reports from the Star Tribune.

Turner was contacted by someone impersonating a JP Morgan Chase Bank representative and was told that his identity was being used at a branch in Arizona. The affidavit, filed in Dakota County District Court earlier this week, said someone used two copies of ID to execute a wire transfer from Turner’s account. Turner was told to transfer his money into two separate accounts to avoid the fraud.
Turner went to a Chase branch in Eagan, Minnesota, and transferred $120,000 to “Island Food Truck LLC” and visited another branch in West St. Paul later in the day to transfer another $120,000 to “CNL FL LLC.”
“[Turner] spoke with a family member and determined [he] may have been a victim of a fraud scam,” the affidavit read.
Turner just finished his rookie season with the Minnesota Vikings, where he totaled 20 tackles, five QB hits, three tackles for loss, three sacks, and one interception for the Vikings. Minnesota drafted him with the No. 17 pick in the 2024 NFL draft out of Alabama.
During his time with the Crimson Tide, Turner totaled 120 tackles, 33 tackles for loss, and 22.5 sacks. He was a 2023 Consensus All-American and was named the 2023 SEC Defensive Player of the Year.
