Heading into the 2025 NFL season, the Los Angeles Chargers and head coach Jim Harbaugh are aiming for NFL immortality. The franchise owns one championship, which came before the NFL-AFL merger of 1970. The Bolts won the 1963 AFL championship over the Boston Patriots, 51-10. More than 60 years later, it is time to add a different trophy to the Chargers’ case.

The oddsmakers have LA among the top 10 best odds to reach the Super Bowl, tied for No. 10 overall with the Green Bay Packers. The only AFC West team ahead of them is the Kansas City Chiefs. The Denver Broncos have the No. 16 best odds, and you have to go near the bottom of the list to find the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Chargers added several offensive weapons in the past draft class to help out franchise quarterback Justin Herbert. The group is led by running back Omarion Hampton and wide receiver Tre Harris. Both of which can make an immediate impact on the offensive side of the ball.

Defensively, the team added some interior help with Jamaree Caldwell of Oregon and Kyle Kennard, who should help on the edge. Jesse Minter’s defense has to replace the production of Joey Bosa, who was released in the offseason. Kennard was highly productive for the South Carolina Gamecocks.
