BROOKINGS, S.D. (KCAU) – Year 1 in the NFL is in the books for Rock Valley native and former South Dakota State offensive lineman Garret Greenfield, turning his focus to training camp with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The FCS National Champion began his career with the Seattle Seahawks after going undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Greenfield made it to the final round of roster cuts last summer and had a brief stint with the New York Giants practice squad before landing in Tampa Bay. Making a quick visit back to the region, Greenfield is energized for the opportunity to make the 53-man roster.
“Good to be back home. Good to be around the guys, old teammates again, the JFPA, all the guys from years past. Just getting to be home for a little bit and enjoy summer,” Greenfield said.
NFL teams have until August 26th to decide their 53-man rosters for teh season.
