Broncos Wire‘s 90-man offseason roster series continues today with a look at third-year offensive lineman Alex Forsyth, No. 54.

Before the Broncos: Forsyth (6-4, 312 pounds) played his college football at the University of Oregon, as the main center for now-Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix. Forsyth’s value was in positional flexibility, where he started 28-of-39 games from 2018-22, making appearances at center, left guard, right guard and right tackle. At Oregon, Forsyth was named second-team All-Pac-12 in 2020 and 2021, before earning first-team All-Pac-12 honors in 2022.

Broncos tenure: Forsyth was selected by the Broncos in the seventh round (257th overall) of the 2023 NFL draft. Forsyth did not play in 2023, but he got his shot on the offensive line and special teams in 2024. In 2024, Forsyth dressed for all 17 games (with four fill-starts at center), and Denver’s postseason game, playing 382 total snaps between offense and special teams.

Forsyth had some rough moments in 2024, none bigger than when the Broncos had a potential game-winning field goal blocked against the Kansas City Chiefs. Forsyth faced a lot of online hate after that blocked kick, but he received tremendous support from current Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his brother, Jason Kelce.

Chances to make the 53-man roster: Likely. Despite his rough moments, Forsyth proved to be very serviceable in 2024. In all likelihood, Forsyth will serve as the backup center and a special teams contributor as the Broncos head into the much-anticipated 2025 season. Forsyth is in the second-to-last year of his rookie deal.
