Each offseason, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler interviews NFL executives, coaches and scouts to rank the top 10 players at 11 positions. Earlier this week, ESPN unveiled the pass rusher rankings, and Denver Broncos outside linebacker Nik Bonitto was named among the “honorable mention” players.

An unnamed AFC executive described Bonitto this way to ESPN: “Young, athletic, upside, speed rusher, can impact game — small and average against the run, but very productive overall.”

The ten players who made the cut were Myles Garrett, T.J. Watt, Micah Parsons, Maxx Crosby, Nick Bosa, Trey Hendrickson, Aidan Hutchinson, Will Anderson, Danielle Hunter and Jared Verse. The only honorable mention listed above Bonitto was Brian Burns.

Bonitto earned a Pro Bowl nod and was named a second-team All-Pro last season. Jonathon Cooper, who was three sacks behind Bonitto’s 13.5-sack total in 2024, did not make the honorable mention list. Perhaps both players will be candidates to crack the top ten on next year’s list.
