ROBINSON, Texas (FOX 44) — Jason Tucker went from playing high school football at Robinson to playing alongside Troy Aikman for the Dallas Cowboys, culminating in a historic career in the Canadian Football League.

Tucker played seven seasons for the Edmonton Eskimos where he recorded multiple 1,000 yard season and finished 7th in receiving yards in franchise history.

The storied career was cut short due to an injury so he transitioned into coaching in 2009 and has been doing that ever since.

Tucker has now been a receivers coach in the CFL for 12 seasons. Despite being far from home he continues to feel the support from the Robinson faithful.

“The support from all angles and all areas makes you feel special,” Tucker said. “The Robinson community has always been a big supporter of mine and they are always there and there is nothing like that.”

The Edmonton Elks have just begun their season and Tucker is hoping to help lead the team to win another Grey Cup, this time as a coach.
