QUARTERBACKX-Factor: Josh Allen
After winning the MVP last season, what does QB1 have in store for an encore? Allen has played at a superstar level for quite some time, but in 2024? He was better than ever.
The Bills quarterback was the epitome of superman last season. When the Bills needed him to put on the cape and save the day, he did that. When they needed him to be efficient and protect the football, Allen did that too. If that version of 17 shows up for the Bills again, the offense is in great hands.
Position battle to watch: Backup quarterback
Mitch Trubisky has been Allen’s backup for two of the last four seasons. Last training camp, he didn’t have much competition. Insert Mike White. The 29-year old joined the Bills last fall and has started seven games in his career.

Trubisky is the much better athlete, but White has shown to be a better and more willing passer down the field.
Bold prediction: Josh Allen’s raw stats will go up, but his MVP chances will drop
In 2024, the Bills were supposed to take a step back. They lost Stefon Diggs. Bye bye Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde. No more Mitch Morse. Yet, they kept rolling and Josh Allen is the main reason why.
The Bills QB1 won’t have the narrative of lifting a “supposed” down Bills team this season. They are currently tied for the best odds to win the super bowl.
Narrative or not, the weapons around Allen are better than last year which should lead to some eye-popping numbers.
