2024 Season Review
The Colts signed Kahmann after the 2025 NFL draft after he went undrafted out of Division II Emporia State.
According to the team site, Kahmann recorded a whopping 100 receptions last season for 1,488 yards with 20 touchdowns. This came one season after he caught 101 passes for 1,234 yards with 20 touchdowns in 2023.
Kahmann was named a Division-II All-American in each of those years, and he was a team captain in 2024, along with setting records for catches, yards, and touchdowns.
Lance Zierlein of NFL.com said Kahmann was a “strong slot target who can win when contested.” Zierlein then added that Kahmann will have to become a “more efficient” route runner, not to mention that he’s making a big jump in competition.

Looking ahead to the 2025 season
While training camp is a time for positional battles, there’s not much mystery when it comes to the wide receiver room. Michael Pittman, Alec Pierce, Josh Downs, AD Mitchell, Anthony Gould, and Ashton Dulin will make up this position group on the 53-man roster.
This leaves Kahmann battling everyone else for the two to three practice-squad spots that could be available. The ability to help on special teams, along with showcasing any untapped potential, are often two things that teams look for in young players when assembling the practice squad.
