The Ravens’ new purple alternate helmet will make its debut on Nov. 7 against the Cincinnati Bengals, the team announced Wednesday.
The “Purple Rising” helmet will be worn on Nov. 7 (Week 10) when the Ravens face the rival Cincinnati Bengals at M&T Bank Stadium on “Thursday Night Football.” It will mark the first time in Ravens history that the Ravens will wear a helmet other than the primary black model.
“The reaction to our ‘Purple Rising’ helmet launch from both players and fans was extremely positive,” Ravens Senior Vice President of Marketing Brad Downs stated. “We can’t wait to debut it in front of a national audience and huge Baltimore crowd this November.”
The Ravens will wear their all-black uniforms on Sept. 29 (Week 4), when they take on the Buffalo Bills at M&T Bank Stadium on “Sunday Night Football.”
“Darkness Falls” once again as fans are encouraged to wear black, and all guests will receive a light-up wristband upon stadium entry to take part in the night’s entertainment.
The Ravens did the same last season for a “Thursday Night Football” win over the Bengals with M&T Bank Stadium rocking.
