Jefferson recalled the “slow start” by the Vikings, who clinched the NFC North that day with the comeback victory.
“Being down by 33 points is never a good position to be in, especially in the NFL. I mean, it’s flat out embarrassing, to be honest,” Jefferson said. “So just going into the locker room and the leaders of the team just kind of said a couple words, and all we had to do at that moment was just go out there and play. I mean, being down 33 is not something that you can really dial up a plan to come back on.
“It was just all about, you know, what did everybody want to do? Did we want to come back, or did we just want to bow our heads and just look on toward [the] next week? But we locked in and were all focused on coming back and winning that game, which we did. It was definitely a crazy experience, just being there and getting that victory,” Jefferson said.
The Vikings want to return to the win column after dropping their past two games and prefer not to have to replicate that kind of comeback against the Colts (4-4).
