New England Patriots wide receiver Kendrick Bourne had a simple message for doubters during a new team workout video posted on social media.

“2025 Patriots, we lowkey dark horse, bro. Stop playing with us, man,” Bourne said in a recent YouTube video upload.

The Patriots made significant changes in the offseason after finishing the 2024 season with a 4-13 record under former coach Jerod Mayo. They hired Mike Vrabel as their new head coach, and he brought in a more experienced coaching staff and upgraded the roster on both sides of the ball.

Bourne, who is expected to play a significant role on offense, met up with quarterback Drake Maye and other players on offense for extra work during the break ahead of training camp. A strong connection is brewing for the Patriots on offense, and the team is hopeful that leads to more wins in 2025.

Bourne’s best NFL season came in the short time he spent with offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels in New England in 2021. He hauled in 55 catches for 800 yards and five touchdowns that year. Last year, he only appeared in 12 games and finished with 28 catches for 305 yards and one touchdown.

Those numbers could once again trend upward with McDaniels calling the offense and a more improved offensive line blocking for second-year quarterback Drake Maye.

Bourne might finally be in a position to make some noise this year.
