According to an annual NFL poll, Kansas City Chiefs center Creed Humphrey had another strong season in 2024, enough to claim his spot as the best interior offensive lineman.

In a poll of NFL decision-makers and players conducted by ESPN reporter Jeremy Fowler, Humphrey is alone at the top of the interior offensive lineman rankings. The annual rankings list is detailed, and multiple player factors are included.

Voters gave the network staff their best ten players at a position. Then, they compiled the results and ranked candidates based on the number of top-10 votes, composite average, and dozens of interviews, with research and film study help from ESPN NFL analyst Matt Bowen.

“He’s great in pass protection, great feet and instincts,” an NFL coordinator said. “Not a mauler in the running game, but can get it done enough. Deals with chaos well and can navigate a lot of moving parts for that offense.”

Humphrey beat out offensive guard Dallas Cowboys Tyler Smith, who finished in second place. The former Oklahoma Sooners standout has been named an All-Pro twice and selected to the Pro Bowl three times since the start of his rookie season. The two-time Super Bowl champion led all centers in offensive snaps with 1,112 last season.
