The Seattle Seahawks are attempting to fix their offensive line this season. New offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak and position coach John Benton are hoping to develop various in-house talents. A point of reference is offensive tackle Charles Cross, a 2022 first-round pick who has developed into a high-end player.
Cross is undeniably the Seahawks’ best offensive lineman.

ESPN is currently releasing their position rankings daily. More than 70 NFL coaches, executives, and scouts were polled to compile composite rankings. The top-10 offensive tackles was recently revealed. Cross failed to make the cut, but fell into the “received votes” category.
Cross was outstanding in pass protection for the Seahawks last season. Cross allowed pressure on just 7.0% of his pass-blocking snaps last season, a career-low mark, according to Pro Football Focus. His 81.3 PFF pass-blocking grade ranked 13th-best at the position in 2024. Â The former Mississippi State standout was credited with allowing just six sacks and 47 pressures despite playing nearly 1,100 total snaps.
Cross was also a difference-maker as a blocker, too, earning a 15th-ranked 77.9 PFF run-blocking grade. The Seahawks hope the rest of their offensive line matches Cross’ talent and production this season. The Seahawks are fortunate to have the consistent left tackle.
