The New Orleans Saints still have some question marks across the offense, and the perfect answer to one of them could have just presented himself.
While Chris Olave, Rashid Shaheed and Brandin Cooks is the beginnings of a nice wide receiver room, the Saints lack both depth and size. Enter: San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings.

Jennings is entering the final year of his contract with the 49ers and is unhappy with his current situation, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The 6-foot-3 target has requested either a new contract or a trade to a new team, likely one that would extend him.
The 28-year-old was a popular pick to sign with New Orleans back in 2024 before he signed his contract extension with San Francisco. He fits exactly what the Saints need and would provide a great endzone target for the team’s young quarterbacks.
He was a late breakout, given the tough road to playing time that used to be present for the 49ers. Over his first three seasons in the NFL, he had 78 catches for 963 yards and seven touchdowns while primarily working as San Francisco’s best run-blocking wide receiver. Last year, his first time with a real role in the passing attack, he hauled in 77 catches for 975 yards and six touchdowns.
New Orleans has the cap space available this year and the need over the next few years to give Jennings a longer deal. It likely wouldn’t cost them much in a trade, so it makes sense for them to at least consider pursuing him and set their young quarterbacks up for success.

Kevin Austin Jr., Donovan Peoples-Jones and Cedrick Wilson Jr. are the current 6-foot-2 or taller wideouts the Saints have. Jennings would be a far safer bet than any of the other players on this list for 2025 and beyond.
