FORT LEAVENWORTH, Kan. (KCTV) – Kansas City Chiefs defensive end George Karlaftis is out getting local kids active.
Karlaftis is hosting a youth football camp for more than 150 military children in Fort Leavenworth.
He’s leading skill drills with the campers and highlighting the benefits of staying and healthy.
Karlaftis highlighted the resilience and courage of military families and children.
“It’s a great camaraderie, it’s great to see the kids make new friends, learn a little bit about football, but really the importance of teamwork and supporting one another,” said Molly Fanning, EVP Marketing Pro Camps and G3 Marketing.
The camp continues on July 15, and this is the third year Fort Leavenworth has been picked to host an NFL Pro Camp.
