When anyone attends a concert, there almost no expectation to be seated near someone famous, even if you paid for premium seats. Big stars are always believed to be backstage with the best seat in the house. So when you spot a celeb in the wild amongst the common folk, it can be pretty exciting.
One concert goer got the surprise of a lifetime when she learned she had been standing behind NFL champ Eli Manning for the entirety of the Thomas Rhett concert in Jones Beach, NY.
The gentle giant was spotted taking photos in the crowd with fans as Rhett crooned in the background.
Fans shared stories about getting the opportunity to interact with Manning, praising what a gracious talent he is.
“I use to drive him when he was out in Quogue. Beautiful house. Wonderful family,” stated one fan.
“I was right by you guys. He was so cool,”” confirmed another.

Manning has kind of always been a “man of the people,” taking his desire to “blend in” to new heights 2023 when he posed as Chad Powers, a persona he developed to do Penn State’s walk-on tryouts undercover.
The persona has actually been developed into a character with his own series on Hulu simply entitled Chad Powers. The series stars Glen Powell, and is based on the fictional character’s quest to be a walk-on for a fictitious struggling Southern football team.
