For the first time ever, two NFL mascots teamed up to represent that football is family. On behalf of the Seattle Seahawks, their mascot, Blitz, joined Los Angeles Rams mascot Rampage to provide more than $10,000 worth of Nike shoes to youth served by the Boys and Girls Club of Pasadena whose home and school communities were impacted by the devastating Eaton Fire.

Rams running back Kyren Williamsalso joined the event alongside Seahawks Legends Dave DesRochers, Jeron Johnson, Jon Ryan and Walter Thurmond.

“It means everything,” said Williams. “Being closely impacted by the fires, it was my first time ever going through something like that. I can’t imagine what these kids and families have lost, so being out here is nothing but a blessing.”

In celebration of the Seahawks’ 50th season in 2025, the team launched a new initiative, “Impacting 50 Communities.” The program aims to positively impact 50 different communities through meaningful events and support across the globe. The team’s donation was made on behalf of Blitz’s Kicks4Kids program, a charitable initiative designed to provide shoes and support to kids and families in need.

The efforts were in continuation of the commitment the Rams have made to the Los Angeles community since the unprecedented fires broke out on Jan. 7, 2025. The team most recently had their rookies join Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles and Hollywood Park for a drive-thru distribution event at SoFi Stadium serving approximately 500 households affected by the fires and completed a beautification project at Odyssey Charter School in Altadena to lift the spirits of students.
