Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence climbed into the 90s again on Sunday, July 13, and it wasn’t his passer rating.

Lawrence had minus-8 points off a score of 92 in the third round of the American Century Championship, a celebrity golf tournament at the Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course in Stateline, Nevada. He finished in a tie for 75th with actor Miles Teller with minus-27 points for the tournament, 100 points behind the winner, former hockey star Joe Pavelski.

Lawrence shot 98 and scored minus-18 points in the first round, then improved with an 87 and minus-1 point in the second round. He was in positive figures for the final round after a par at No. 13 (he began on the back nine) but double-bogeyed his next four holes.

Lawrence had 21 double bogeys, 20 bogeys, 12 pars and one birdie for the tournament.

What is the American Century Championship format?

The tournament uses a modified Stableford format that awards points for the outcome of a hole.

10 points: Albatross (3-under on a hole, such as a 2 on a par-5).

-2 points: Double bogey. Players don’t record scores of triple bogey or higher so making a double and the minus-2 points is the worst a player can do on a single hole.
