The Argonaut detailed the Los Angeles Rams 2025-26 rookies and their recent visits to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Cedars-Sinai Marina del Rey Hospital.

After a welcome from Bryan Croft, executive vice president and chief operating officer at Cedars-Sinai, 20 rookie football players dispersed into small groups and visited cancer, transplant and pediatric patients.

In what has become an annual tradition, the rookies gifted patients Rams items—including footballs, hats and pennants—and posed for pictures, chatted about sports and signed autographs.

“This visit brought joy, encouragement, and inspiration to our patients, who are going through a tough time,” said Joanne Laguna-Kennedy, MSN, RN, vice president of Hospital Operations and chief operating officer of Cedars-Sinai Marina del Rey Hospital. “For our staff as well, it’s a meaningful recognition of their tireless dedication.”

Carey Smith, a nursing assistant at Cedars-Sinai Marina del Rey Hospital, said the visit was especially important to patients who rarely receive visitors.

“A lot of them don’t have family to come and visit, so it was good to go into their rooms and see them smiling,” Smith said.

Konata Mumpfield, a Rams rookie wide receiver, said the visit was a blessing.

“I feel like we’re put on this earth to do that, to do things like this and give back,” Mumpfield said.

Cedars-Sinai is the official healthcare partner of the Los Angeles Rams.
