Green Bay Packers 2025 schedule: Breaking down each game

Sports reporter JR Radcliffe breaks down each game on the Green Bay Packers’ 2025 schedule.

GREEN BAY − The Green Bay Packers once again have high expectations heading into 2025. After all, despite being the youngest team in the NFL for the past two seasons, the Packers have made the playoffs each year and won a playoff game in 2023.

The Packers hope to build on their 11-6 record and wild-card playoff loss in 2024 but are projected to have the fifth-hardest schedule in the NFL in 2025, so matching or surpassing that mark could be difficult.

As the Packers prepare to open training camp, we took a spin around NFL Nation to see what outside observers think. Here’s a look at some predictions − human and otherwise − for the Packers’ upcoming season:

FOX Sports writes about the ‘curious’ Packers

FOX Sports’ NFL reporter Greg Auman predicts the Packers to finish 2025 with a 10-7 record.

“The Green Bay Packers are a curious team, and not easy to project,” Auman wrote. “Last year, the Packers went 1-5 in division games in the NFC North but still managed to finish 11-6 overall, something never seen before in 23 seasons since the NFL’s current divisional model started in 2002.”

Of the 10 wins, Auman predicts the Packers will finish 3-3 in the NFC North − losing both contests to the Detroit Lions, sweeping the Minnesota Vikings and splitting with the Chicago Bears (winning Week 14 at Lambeau Field but losing two weeks later at Soldier Field).

Pro Football Network’s prediction bullish on Packers

The Pro Football Network gives the Packers a win/loss prediction of 11-6 for the second straight season and finishing 3-3 in the NFC North. PFN also has the Bears winning the division, one game ahead of the Lions and Packers.

According to the prediction, the Packers’ playoff probability is 60.1%, winning the division is 25.5% and making the Super Bowl is 8.7%.

Does anyone see the Packers as NFC North champs?

The Sportskeeda Playoff Predictor predicts a 9-8 record for Green Bay but the Packers winning the NFC North with a 4-2 division record.

It also predicts both the Lions and Bears to finish 9-8, as well.

The prediction has the Packers losing their first two NFC North games with the Lions in Week 1 and Vikings in Week 12, but snapping their losing skids to both rival teams and also sweeping the Bears.

The Packers would be a No. 4 seed in the NFC playoffs, according to Sportskeeda.

Who says no playoffs for the Packers?

Most analysts and predictions have the Packers making the playoffs for a third straight year and contending for the NFC North title.

One analyst had a different opinion.

ESPN’s Ben Solak wrote a list of 100 things to know and predictions for the 2025 NFL season. He opened his piece with “10 names to know.” The first two mentioned were Packers linebacker Edgerrin Cooper and Packers offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins.

Solak on Cooper: “The lightbulb went on for Cooper last year, as he rose from sub-package player to 100% snap starter by season’s end. From December on, I’m not sure there were five more impactful linebackers in all of football. Cooper is highly active against the run and a reliable tackler in space. He has the size and athletic ability to be a solid coverage man. After he got one All-Pro vote last season, I’d wager Cooper gets double-digit votes in 2025.”

Solak on Jenkins: “In six seasons, he has played at least 300 snaps at four of the five offensive line positions: both tackle spots, left guard and center. The film has been good everywhere, too − absurd consistency. His last extensive experience at center was in 2020, but he’s expected to fill that spot in 2025 after Josh Myers left for the Jets in free agency. Jenkins is in a contract dispute with the Packers right now, as he has two years left on his deal and reportedly wants his compensation to reflect his versatility. I agree with him. What a player.”

During his column, which featured some bold predictions, Solak believes the Packers won’t continue their playoff streak.

“The Packers will miss the playoffs,” he wrote. “I think two of the biggest non-negotiables for playoff teams are having a pass rush and a dominant receiver. The Packers definitely don’t have the first and still might not have the second, even after drafting Matthew Golden in Round 1. They were plus-12 in turnover differential last season, which ranked third in the NFL, but that tends not to be a sticky number. (I am also looking at the plus-24 Bills with supreme suspicion.)”
