ESPN polled NFL coaches, executives and scouts to vote on the Top 10 players at every position. Unfortunately for the Pittsburgh Steelers, they boast very few players who made the cut on these lists. Latest up for ESPN was cornerback, and we were just sure that at least one of the Steelers’ cornerbacks would make the cut.
The best bet was new cornerback Jalen Ramsey, whom the Steelers just traded for in late June. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the case as the best Ramsey could get was an honorable mention.

“He had a down year last year, but he still had flashes of being the gold standard at corner,” an NFL personnel director said. “His mix of athletic ability/fluidity, speed and movement skills at that size is rare. He can play man or zone coverage, can play inside as a nickel and has the ability to move to free safety if he wanted to.”
Ramsey is one of several aging veterans the Steelers have brought in this offseason to try and hold things together and make a good showing in 2025 while preparing for a huge roster overhaul in 2026.
