The Seattle Seahawks will report to training camp next week. General manager John Schneider will continue tweaking his 90-man roster throughout camp and the preseason as needed. Schneider possesses just a few more days to make roster tweaks ahead of the reporting date.
To celebrate training camp’s arrival date, Bleacher Report recently wrote an article outlining every team’s salary cap situation around the league. The Seahawks currently rank 10th in financial flexibility with approximately $31.2 million in cap space. The Seahawks are in a great position.

The Seahawks also aren’t entering camp with any major contract-related distractions. Tariq Woolen, Abe Lucas, Boye Mafe, Kenneth Walker III, and Coby Bryant are the most notable Seahawks entering a contract year. Of that list, Woolen is probably the only candidate to possibly sign a contract extension during camp. Conversations with his camp got more complicated following the Sauce Gardner deal.
Shaquill Griffin and Marquez Valdes-Scantling are on one-year deals. Lucas and Walker must stay healthy to remain with the Seahawks beyond 2025. Mafe has to be a more consistent pass rusher before signing an extension. Bryant is the likeliest candidate to get a multi-year deal after his breakout performance in 2024.
The Seahawks are headed into training camp in a terrific financial position. Now if they can only get deals done with second-round rookies Nick Emmanwori and Elijah Arroyo.
