The New York Jets have selected linebacker Francisco Mauigoa out of Miami with the 162nd overall pick in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Francisco Mauigoa doesn’t have top end size, speed, or agility. He isn’t an elite athlete, but he has good instincts and always seems to be around the ball. Perhaps all you need to know is he’s Samoan. You can never have too may Samoans on your roster.
Mauigoa projects as a backup and special teams contributor in 2025. Perhaps in time he can develop into a larger role.
