The Carolina Panthers will have their second-round pick ready to go at training camp this upcoming week.
As announced on Saturday night, the team has agreed to terms on a rookie deal with outside linebacker Nic Scourton. He’ll be signed to a four-year contract worth approximately $8.6 million.

Carolina selected Scourton with the 51st overall pick of the 2025 NFL draft. The Bryan, Texas native split his three-year collegiate career between Purdue University and Texas A&M—amassing 17.0 total sacks while picking up a second-team All-Big Ten nod in 2023 and a first-team All-SEC nod in 2024.
Scourton is now set to become the eighth and final member of the Panthers’ 2025 draft class to lock in his pact. He joins wide receivers Tetairoa McMillan and Jimmy Horn Jr., fellow pass rusher Princely Umanmielen, running back Trevor Etienne, safety Lathan Ransom, defensive lineman Cam Jackson and tight end Mitchell Evans—all of whom signed their deals in May.
Panthers rookies are scheduled to report to Charlotte, N.C. for training camp on Monday, July 21.
