Stefon Diggs’ Health Status For 2025 NFL Season Revealed originally appeared on The Spun.
A torn ACL suffered in the middle of last season limited Pro Bowl wide receiver Stefon Diggs to just eight games with the Houston Texans. As training camp begins with his new team, the New England Patriots, how do things look for him health-wise?

Judging by the team’s most recent move, things are going pretty well.
The Patriots announced their injury designations for the start of training camp and Diggs was NOT placed on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list. An NFL team can add and remove players from the PUP list freely, which strongly indicates that Diggs is at full health and will be a participant in Day 1 of Patriots camp.
Diggs was primed to have a pretty strong season before getting hurt last season. Through eight games he had 47 receptions for 496 yards and three touchdowns, all while catching over 73-percent of the passes thrown his way.

The Texans went just 4-5 after Diggs’ injury. While they still managed to make the playoffs and even won a playoff game, the Texans just didn’t have enough juice to take down the Kansas City Chiefs.
Diggs became a free agent at the end of the season and joined the Patriots on a three-year, $63.5 million deal. He will presumably be WR1 for the team to start the season as they build around second-year Pro Bowle quarterback Drake Maye.
There was a speck of controversy early in his tenure as a very bizarre video of Diggs on a boat had people questioning his future with the team. But all of the fences seem to have mended in the month since that video went public.

The cupboard was left pretty barren at the end of Bill Belichick’s tenure with the team. They struggled under head coach Jerod Mayo before firing him at the end of the season. Now they head into 2025 with a proven winner at the helm with head coach Mike Vrabel.
If anyone can get the best out of Maye, Diggs and the rest of the team, it’s Vrabel.
What will the Patriots’ record be this season?
