A 14-year-old athlete pulled off the play of his life at the 2025 NFL Flag Football Championships — and it was one that left even Patrick Mahomes in awe.
Brysen Wright, who plays as a wider receiver for the Jacksonville Jaguars-sponsored 14U team, made a gravity-defying grab that has to be seen to be believed.

After the ball was launched into the end zone, he jumped above a defender to pull it in with one hand, spinning around in mid-air before landing on his back.
The play was reminiscent of Odell Beckham Jr.’s historic catch for the New York Giants against the Dallas Cowboys — and one that has already been seen millions of times.
Soon after Wright made his grab at the championships in Canton, Ohio, the NFL‘s official X account shared a video of it.
“Oh my God…that is truly unbelievable,” an announcer can be heard saying in the clip, as a replay aired.
The NFL’s footage has already been viewed more than five million times since being shared on Saturday, and it even left Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Mahomes stunned.
“Yooo what?” he asked, adding three laughing emojis as he re-posted the video.
Naturally, plenty of people soon suggested that Mahomes should attempt to recruit Wright to the Chiefs.
And it might not actually be too long before he’s seen in the NFL.
Wright is indeed a highly recruited wide receiver from the Class of 2028, out of Jacksonville’s Mandarin High School.
He has already got offers on the table from 15 schools, including the likes of LSU, Texas, Duke, Miami and North Carolina — and even inked his first trading card NIL deal earlier this month.

The 6-foot-3 receiver has signed with Wild Card, marking the company’s first foray into the high school space.
“This is Brysen’s first trading card partnership,” his agent, Dan Everett, told On3.
“The five-figure deal pays the soon-to-be 10th grader a first-round NFL wide receiver rate per autograph.”
Wright is already tipped for a big future on the football field — and he has already shown in one play that he boasts the ‘number one’ thing that Chiefs coach Andy Reid looks for when scouting a wideout.
ESPN analyst Louis Riddick, who worked with ‘Big Red’ during his time with the Philadelphia Eagles, has previously explained exactly what the three-time Super Bowl winner is looking for in a young player.
“You have to be smart to play in his offense,” Riddick told 810 WHB a decade ago.

“Ideally, he would like you to be smart enough to learn three primary wide receiver positions, which would be the Z, X and E.
“The Z being the flanker, the X being the split end and the E being the slot position.
“Number two, once you get on the field and actually start going through drills. Obviously the speed and athletic ability are things he’s going to want.
“But the number one thing? Pretty simple. What are receivers asked to do? Catch the ball.
Buckle up, boy! Ex-Kansas City Chiefs star reveals how BRUTAL Andy Reid drill left players puking in Super Bowl pursuit
“You better not be double catching it, you better not be having the ball beat up your chest and getting into you every time the ball is thrown to you.
“You better not be double catching it, dropping it, letting the ball hit you in the face and all those kinds of things. That will turn him off completely immediately.”
Wright, already, has shown he can catch the ball. And he’s already caught the eye of Mahomes too.
If Reid is still coaching the Chiefs by the time he’s ready to enter the NFL, he could indeed be on his way to Arrowhead.
