The Baltimore Ravens were able to continue their winning streak to four games with a 30-23 win over the Washington Commanders in what was a competitive back-and-forth matchup.Lamar Jackson outdueled rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels and finished with over 300 yards passing for the second game in a row. Derrick Henry continued his domination as a Raven with another 100-yard, two-touchdown game. The Commanders made it a game, even cutting the lead to seven in the fourth quarter. Henry would cement the win for the Ravens on the first play after the lead was cut in the fourth with a 27-yard run just before the two-minute warning. That run would allow the Ravens to run out the clock and end the comeback hopes for the Commanders. Wide receiver Zay Flowers had his best game so far this season, all in the first half. He finished with nine catches for 132 yards. Tight end Mark Andrews had his best game of the season as well, with three catches for 66 yards and a touchdown.For the Commanders, Daniels was efficient moving the ball but was limited on the ground to only 22 yards and finished with under 300 yards passing. He did throw two touchdowns to Terry McLaurin and did not throw an interception. He was sacked three times and took several hard hits from the Ravens defense. He had one of the best rookie performances against the Ravens, finishing with a 110.3 quarterback rating. It was also one of the cleaner games for the Ravens, with only three penalties and very few mental mistakes. The only mistake came early on the Ravens’ first drive when a tipped ball turned into an interception. They also did a good job of protecting Jackson, only giving up two sacks. Flowers and Jackson had a great rapport in the first half, and the focus on Flowers in the second half opened opportunities for Andrews and Rashod Bateman. On the defensive side, they were able to contain a hot quarterback and limit the Commanders to only 305 total yards. Rookie cornerback Nate Wiggins made several pass deflections but was flagged late in the fourth for a pass interference on a fourth down that kept the Commanders’ final drive alive.
