LINCOLN, Neb. (WOWT) – Ahead of Big Ten Media Days starting Tuesday in Las Vegas, the conference’s Preseason Media Poll was released via Cleveland.com.
Nebraska was slotted eighth out of the 18 teams in the Big Ten with 277 total points and an average rank of 7.92. That is determined between the 24 voters who are spread out across every conference team and those “who cover the entire league or have a national perspective.”
Penn State was picked to win the conference with 11 first-place votes. Second was Ohio State with 10.

Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule is entering his third season with the program, which historically has led to his teams’ biggest jumps at Temple and Baylor.
Sophomore quarterback Dylan Raiola, senior defensive back DeShon Singleton and senior offensive lineman Henry Lutovsky will accompany Rhule in Las Vegas.
Dylan Raiola is one of three players who will represent the Big Red in Las Vegas.
The season starts Thursday, Aug. 28 at the inaugural Kansas City Classic against Cincinnati at Arrowhead Stadium, home of the Kansas City Chiefs.
