HOWARD — The Bulldogs are on the move.
The Ohio High School Athletic Association released its divisional and regional alignments for the 2025 football season Thursday and the biggest news among Knox County schools is East Knox will drop to Division VI and slot into Region 23.
The Bulldogs were in Division V last year. East Knox was 4-6 and finished 19th in Region 18.
The other four county schools all remained in the same enrollment division and geographic region as last year, but there were some interesting adjustments in Region 27 of Division VII.

Danville and Hillsdale were both members of Region 25 as recently as two years ago. The teams met in a memorable regional quarterfinal game in 2022 with Danville holding on for a 22-21 win.
Mount Vernon will again slot into Region 7 of Division II. The Yellow Jackets finished 18th in the region last year — two spots out of the final playoff spot.
Fredericktown returns to Region 18 of Division V. Region 18 encompasses the northwest part of the state. The Freddies are under first-year coach Scott Spitler, who piloted Lucas to the Division VII state championship game in 2019.
Centerburg remains in Region 23 of Division VI. The Trojans won a first-round road playoff game last year before falling to Knox Morrow Athletic Conference rival and eventual regional champ Northmor in the quarterfinals.
