RB James Cook reported to camp Tuesday and is expected to practice with the team. The Pro Bowl RB was not in attendance for voluntary workouts or OTA’s in the early spring, but he did report to mandatory mini camp in June — and now to training camp.
“Couldn’t be more pleased with James and him being here on time and ready to go,” McDermott said. “Got a chance to greet him yesterday, and shake his hand… He’s ready to go.”
DE Joey Bosa is also expected to practice after missing mandatory minicamp with a calf strain. McDermott praised Bosa for his commitment to rehabbing the injury to be ready for this week.
“Couldn’t be more happy with the work that he’s put in to come back healthy and ready to go. And we’ll have a rep plan for him to manage things to the best of our ability, to try and keep him as healthy as possible,” he said.
