Training camps are well underway this week around the NFL. Unfortunately, tragedy does strike, even this early in the season. At Miami Dolphins camp, former Seattle Seahawks cornerback Artie Burns injured his knee and left on crutches, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The fear now is Burns suffered a torn ACL, which would effectively end his 2025 season before it gets a chance to begin.

After three seasons in Seattle, Burns signed a one-year deal with the Dolphins during free agency. Injuries have always nagged the veteran cornerback, as he spent most of his 2024 campaign on injured reserve and the practice squad. Burns was hoping for a fresh start in the Sunshine State, but sadly it appears his body has betrayed him once again.

We at Seahawks Wire are hoping for the best, and that his injury is not as severe as initially reported.
