The Buffalo Bills have waived former Georgia Bulldogs punter Jake Camarda after signing him to a reserves/futures contract in Jan. 2025. Camarda, who last played with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during the first four weeks of the 2024 season, will look to land with another NFL team. The former Georgia standout is looking to earn one of the 32 starting punter jobs in the NFL.

Last year, the Bucs cut Camarda midway through the season in a surprising move. Tampa Bay invested heavily in Camarda, a fourth-round pick in the 2022 NFL draft.

The Bills starting punter in 2024, Sam Martin, is now with the Carolina Panthers. It appears that Brad Robbins, who started 17 games for the Cincinnati Bengals in 2023 and is a former sixth-round pick, has won the Buffalo starting punter job. Of course, the Bills could look to sign another punter as they have just begun training camp (Buffalo training camp started Wednesday, July 23).

It is unfortunate that Camarda never got an opportunity to compete in training camp with Buffalo, but he will have plenty of time to find another opportunity.
