Jacksonville Jaguars superstar and Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter has some family hardship to deal with as his father has now been arrested.

According to TMZ Sports, Travis Hunter Sr. was booked into Palm Beach County jail on a charge of probation violation. He reportedly violated the conditions of his probation by moving “too far away” from an electronic monitoring device for 11 minutes back on June 28.

Hunter Sr. has been on probation for alleged possession of drugs and a gun during a traffic stop back in 2023. Under the terms of his probation, he was not even allowed to attend his son’s Heisman Trophy award ceremony last year.

However, Hunter Sr. was allowed to join his son at the 2025 NFL Draft in April, where Hunter Jr. was drafted No. 2 overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

It’s been a tumultuous couple of days for Hunter for reasons having almost nothing to do with football.

Earlier this week, his wife Leanna made headlines by releasing a very emotional video on social media complaining about the treatment she’s received online.

Between his wife and now his father, fans are growing very worried for Hunter as he begins his NFL career:

“Your son was the number 2 pick in the NFL draft and the first player in NFL history drafted at 2 positions and bro is still moving like this… smh,” one user wrote.

“Tough when your son is more of an adult that you,” wrote another.

“His girl is crying on live and pops is locked up all before preseason. Y’all pray for Travis man.”

Hunter might wind up getting asked questions about these latest issues in his family life. Though unless it starts affecting his play on the field, it probably won’t be much of an issue for the fans, let alone the team.
