THE Kansas City Chiefs have been tipped to cut ties with two-time Super Bowl champion Skyy Moore.

While doubts remain over exactly what head coach Andy Reid will do with Travis Kelce‘s role next season.

Kansas City has spent all summer stewing over their Super Bowl loss at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Led by their superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs are bound to be there or thereabouts in the title discussion next season.

As part of a shake up, former second-round pick Moore has been tipped to go.

Lyle Graversen of Arrowhead Addict said: “I wasn’t tempted to keep Skyy Moore at all. His days are numbered.”

Analyst Jason Dunn, who played for the Chiefs between 2000 and 2007, warned that Moore must take any chance that comes his way.

The former tight end said: “Skyy is a second-round pick, so he’s going to get every opportunity.

“But just because you’re a second-round pick, you can still go to the back.”

Moore was drafted by the Chiefs with the 54th pick in 2022.

He subsequently played 16 regular season games and three playoff contests during his rookie campaign, as Kansas City won the Super Bowl.

The wide receiver played 14 regular season games in the 2023 season, starting eight, but did not feature in the playoffs as the Chiefs retained their title.

Moore played in just six games last season, logging zero catches.

A muscle injury ended his season prematurely.

And once again he did not feature in the playoffs.

Kelce, meanwhile, has had some doubts over his role.

With the legendary tight ends having considered retirement during the off-season, it was expected that Reid would lean on him less next year.

Kelce’s body has sustained plenty of wear and tear, and the end of his illustrious career is now well and truly on the horizon.

But with doubts over other key men going into the season, Reid may have to lean on Kelce as much as ever.

Wide receiver Rashee Rice has been hit with a 30-day jail sentence and five years probation following a high speed car crash.

Rice, 25, is likely to be hit with a league suspension.

But with Mahomes and Kelce in tow, the Chiefs will always be contenders.
