Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) – Buffalo Bills fans are no strangers to extreme weather conditions like today’s, with sunshine and heat.
Cory Sparks attended day two of training camp. “We’re from Jacksonville, Florida, so this feels like air conditioning to us,” he said.
Fans travelled near and far to catch a glimpse of their favorite team.
For Tessa McGrath and her sister, Allie, it was their first time attending a Bills practice. “I’m really excited to maybe meet the players and see them play,” Tessa said.
The direct summer sun beating down on St. John Fisher University did not stop anyone from showing love to their favorite players.
Matt McGillicuddy was on Fisher’s campus with friends. He said, “Just getting out and watching football again feels good to get the itch, you know, summer itch out and get ready for the season.”
Across the campus, people had different ways of keeping cool.
McGillicuddy said, “We got water, already went through about four or five of them, but that’s the best we can do, put some sunscreen on and buy a bucket hat.”
John Freiberger shared he’s been to several practices and knows how to stay cool. He said, “We got the Wegmans cooling towel, hat, and lightweight jersey.”
Food trucks and water stations were scattered across the campus.
Allie said, “Yeah, maybe I plan on taking breaks.” Her sister, Tessa, said, “There are these water stations somewhere over there, and there’s, like, water. We also bought water, so. I think we’re good.”
Training camp resumes tomorrow morning at 9:45 at St. John Fisher University.
