MIAMI GARDENS (CBS12 News) — There was some positive news to start day two of training camp for the Miami Dolphins, who had an update on offensive lineman Bayron Matos, who was air-lifted to the hospital after being injured late in Wednesday practice. He is moving all of his extremities, and is in stable condition in the hospital.
“It was awful,” said fellow offensive lineman Patrick Paul about Matos injury. “That’s my brother. We came in together last year so I definitely have him in my prayers, but he’s doing good.”
The Dolphins were thankful at practice, as defensive tackle Zach Sieler put in another hard days work, despite the fact that he’s aggressively seeking a new contract. Something that, so far, hasn’t taken away from his aggressiveness on the practice field.
”We have more than we could ever imagine. I am beyond blessed from these last seven years alone. My wife and I love how our life has turned out, and it’s just been awesome. Now I do feel that respect coming, and I feel like I’ve earned it.”

Seiler hopes to continue to earn it in 2025. He was voted MVP of the Dolphins to end the 2024 season, and is looking for his third straight double digit sack season. He wants a new contract that reflects those type of stats.
“Obviously, all that stuff is between me and the team. What I really care about is getting out there on the field with the guys and building that camaraderie and leadership with them, getting to play next to ‘KG’ (Kenneth Grant), ‘JP’ (Jaelan Phillips) again, (Bradley) Chubb, Chop (Robinson), all those guys. It’s so good to be out there with those guys. Summer is great and all, but after a while you kind of start going crazy. It’s so nice to get here, get into a routine again and really start to build that camaraderie with the guys again. It’s been a blessing.”
Chop Robinson has been chopping away at camp, so excited to enter his second NFL season with fellow veteran edge rushers Bradley, Chubb and Jaelan Phillips back in the mix. They helped him from the sideline last year after they both suffered injuries, so now lining up with them again is something special.
“It’s been great. Especially those guys sense they helped me so much last year, off the field and on the field. Being out there on the field with them – they’re guys I used to watch when I was in college and everything. It’s a blessing and it’s fun to be out there with them.”
