HOUSTON (KIAH) – One special Atascocita teen got the surprise of a lifetime when Houston Texans mascot TORO showed up at her front door this week. TORO greeted Paige, a high school cheerleader, with Texans gear, pom poms, and a personal invitation to join the Texans Training Camp this Saturday. They even shared a cheer together: “5, 6, 7, 8… Texans, swarm!” Paige, who will begin her sophomore year at Atascocita High School this fall, was diagnosed with scoliosis at age 8. After undergoing surgery at Texas Children’s Hospital, she was able to return to her cheer squad and continue doing what she loves. Now, she’ll get to cheer with the Texans this weekend, thanks to a surprise she won’t soon forget.
