Eagles Sign Andrew Mukuba To Complete Rookie Draft Contracts originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
It took until the metaphorical buzzer, but the Philadelphia Eagles have finally paid their entire 2025 draft class.

Philadelphia agreed to terms Monday afternoon on the standard rookie deal with second-round safety Andrew Mukuba. The Texas product was the lone player unsigned by the Eagles before that point, and was one of 30 other second-round rookies to be unsigned going into last weekend.
A big reason for that was due to the discrepancy of guarantees that are given to second-round draft picks compared to those in the first or later rounds. Mukuba, like many other prospects, pushed to have their contract fully guaranteed.
With a day before players report to the NovaCare Complex, Mukuba will now be able to practice right away without missing any time due to a contract holdout.

Philadelphia certainly needs a player of his talents as well.
“Great athlete, really smart player, this guy can absolutely cover,” Assistant general manager Alex Halaby said via the team’s website. “I think that is what jumps off the tape when you watch Andrew play. He’s a guy who can match receivers, he can match tight ends; he is wired athletically in terms of his anticipation to really match routes one-on-one.”
Mukuba has the potential to be a fine replacement Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, who was trade to Houston for cap reasons. If he can stay healthy and learn Philadelphia’s complex defense quickly, he could see the field far earlier than many expect.

And immediately? With all the deals done, the defending Super Bowl champs won’t have too many distractions going into camp this year.
