Broncos Wire‘s 90-man offseason roster series continues today with a look at cornerback Mario Goodrich, who was officially listed as No. 46 on the roster this week after previously signing with the team last month.
Before the Broncos: Goodrich (6-0, 186 pounds) won a national championship at Clemson before later entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2022. After spending his rookie season on the practice squad, Goodrich dressed for four games during the 2023 season, totaling five tackles.

Goodrich was waived by the Eagles last year and went to training camp with the New York Giants in 2024. After failing to make New York’s roster last summer, Goodrich spent the 2025 spring season with the UFL’s Birmingham Stallions. He totaled 17 tackles, six pass breakups and three forced fumbles in UFL seven games.
Broncos tenure: Goodrich signed with Denver in June, following in the footsteps of outside linebacker Dondrea Tillman, who signed with the Broncos last year after playing for the Stallions. Goodrich will make his Denver debut during preseason next month.
Chances to make the 53-man roster: Long shot. The Broncos have a crowded cornerback room with Pat Surtain, Riley Moss, Jahdae Barron, Ja’Quan McMillian, Kris Abrams-Draine and Damarri Mathis among their top options, so Goodrich will face tough odds to make the active roster. He is probably a practice squad candidate.
